Rosneft wants to audit Bashneft’s fields development in 2012–2016
MOSCOW, Jul 10 (PRIME) -- Russian oil major Rosneft has signed a 55 million ruble contract with DeGolyer and MacNaughton to audit Bashneft’s project decisions in field development in 2012–2016, as seen by PRIME in materials of Rosneft on Monday.
DeGolyer and MacNaughton is to check whether the decisions comply with acceptable deviations in key production factors and have any influence on them. The company is also to assess quality and objectivity of an annual audit of reserves of Bashneft. The company will audit actions of former managers of Bashneft in all 54 fields of the company.
Rosneft bought 50.0755% in Bashneft from the government for 329.7 billion rubles October 2016. Before 2014, multi-industry Sistema owned a controlling stake in Bashneft. Rosneft has filed a 170.6 billion ruble suit against Sistema for alleged asset stripping at Bashneft.
